From deep tissue therapeutic massage to relaxation massage
Ian is a graduate from the Massage Therapy College of Manitoba (now known as Evolve College). He believes in the therapeutic aspects of Massage as well as relaxation and overall well-being that treatments can provide. Through clear communication he strives to make everyone feel comfortable, heard and an active participant in their own healing experience.
Ian is fascinated by myofascial release techniques as well as muscle energy techniques which he gently integrates into his treatments. Whether it be relaxation, therapeutic or joint mobilizations Ian will give you the tools and education to help you get back on your feet.
Em was the kid who was always the first to apply sunscreen to her cousins at the cabin, she wanted to become a massage therapist her entire life. She graduated from The Massage Therapy College of Manitoba (now known as Evolve College) in 2015. Her desire to find the “root of the problem” translates into her therapeutic treatment plans for her clients. She encourages communication with all to ensure comfort, accuracy and precision.
Emily enjoys incorporating many techniques of massage into her treatments; trigger point therapy, myofascial release, functional muscle release, joint mobility and of course an element of relaxation, always.
In her spare time she attends music festivals, loves cooking, anything Scottish and snuggling with her cats.
She opened IEmZen Family Massage with her husband Ian in November of 2018.
Jared is a graduate of Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapy. With a belief in the ability of massage to promote a balanced life, he is dedicated to helping clients achieve their therapeutic goals. Whether it’s for relaxation or addressing specific concerns, Jared uses his comprehensive training and knowledge to take a personalized approach to creating a customized treatment plan that meets the unique needs of each client.
Iku (E-ku) is a senior student at Evolve College of Massage Therapy. Before moving to Canada from Japan, Iku trained in Shiatsu massage (acupressure points therapy), Reflexology, Ashiatsu (barefoot massage) and Gua-Sha facial massage. Massage has been her passion since her childhood learning Shiatsu from her parents. Iku has been practicing body work and Reflexology since 2015.
Iku is thrilled to be expanding her knowledge and skills at Evolve College by learning Swedish massage, Myofascial release, Functional Release Techniques and Orthopedic assessment, integrating all of her experience, knowledge and passion into a well-rounded practice. Iku is interested in continuing education after graduation to include cupping and other modalities. Iku loves to listen to what the body is telling through her hands and heart, and being a part of client's health care journey is her greatest joy.
In her free time, Iku loves being in nature, walking, hiking, dancing Zumba, and skiing.
